La Hora del Vermú

Bitter, sweet, refreshing. The Vermouth and Soda is such a simple, yet complex apéritif. It is a perfect accompaniment to any moment of your the day, is on the lower side of alcohol content, and is a staple sipper across Argentina and Spain. Pull up to any bar in Buenos Aires and you’ll find the old style carbonated water “sifón” ready for action. We love sitting at the bar at Los Galgos in Buenos Aires, enjoying a vermú, Quilmes and perhaps a medialuna.

Making one at home is as simple as:

  • 1/3 of the cup sweet vermouth. We like Carpano Antica or the exeptionally delicous La Fuerza from Mendoza.

  • Agua con gas

  • Orange slice, or an expressed orange peel

  • Ice
